Why this response
On 26 August 2026, a catastrophic flash flood struck Rasuwa District following a glacial collapse and debris flow. Families lost homes and livelihoods; children experienced disrupted schooling, displacement, and uncertainty.
Chakraviu Nepal conducted a three-day field assessment from 30 September to 2 October 2026. The assessment highlighted the need to pair access to learning with ongoing attention to children's wellbeing and school continuity.
The program described here is proposed. Chakraviu Nepal is developing it with local schools, authorities, community stakeholders, and the broader education response.
